Deciding on a place to eat has never been such a difficult decision as it is now. We are spoilt for choice! Excellent food is ‘just around the corner’ all day, every day.
A quick online search hits us with reviews, online menus, photos of delicious food and a buzzing atmosphere. With ever increasing opening hours to indulge ourselves in, it only adds to the complexity of our final choice.
With this in mind, the Rosie On Fire team has decided to share with you their favourite eateries around the world. These are tried and tested go-to’s from glamorous Hollywood to back alley secrets in Malaysia. We want your choice to be based on recommendation – In our opinion, that’s a fail-safe way to eat happy!
CANADA – The Pointe Restaurant, Tofino
Rosie On Fire Founder, Angeline loves the fresh fish served here! Angeline and her husband believe this to be one of, if not the best meal they’ve ever had. Sitting on the edge of the Pacific Ocean with tables that feel as though they are floating over the crashing waves this restaurant is even better during a storm when they splash up against the glass windows!
UNITED KINGDOM – Prime Steak & Grill, Rickmansworth
Set in the pretty hamlet of Chandler’s Cross, Prime is just a chip and a putt away from the well-known Grove Hotel, Spa & Golf resort. A unique venue situated within wonderful gardens ranks it one of the best high end steakhouses outside of London. Sip on a cocktail or a glass of wine that is perfectly paired with an award winning steak. Delicious!
Who knows, you might bump into one of our Business Support Team while you’re there…
USA – The Highlight Room, LA
With its fabulous views, scrumptiously modern US fusion food, a rooftop pool of dreams and even better people watching, The Highlight Room is a firm favourite within our Digital Marketing team!
…Just in case you have time for a second stop, they also recommend (highly!) MAYA at West Hollywoods, Soho House.
KUALA LUMPUR – Restoran Kim Lian Kee, Petaling Street
Open daily from 5pm, this original food stall serves thick, smokey noodles until the early hours (4am) and won’t fail to satisfy your stomach! If eating at more civilised hours is more your thing, try one of their other food outlets like, Lot 10 Hutong.
Fancy something different? Leave behind the well-trodden gastronomic paths of Kuala Lumpur and try out Nasi Lemak Bumbung, hidden deep within the back alleys of Seapark, Petaling Jaya…
…If you don’t mind eating under the stars, appreciate faster than fast food and can handle sharing your patch with a rat or two (Don’t worry, they won’t bother you!) then this place is worth the adventure!
UNITED KINGDOM – The Astor Grill, Buckinghamshire
I consider myself lucky to have this place so close to home. My partner and I spend many a weekend walking the formal grounds and majestic woodland at Cliveden House before taking a seat at their courtyard restaurant, The Astor Grill. Whether you want coffee, a light bite or (more often than not in our case!) a chilled glass of champagne then this has to be on your list. On a warm day, close your eyes and you could almost be in the South of France!
Eating out has become the norm but that doesn’t mean it has to lack in quality and experience. We hope you get to taste the delights of these restaurants at one time or another and feel free to share your thoughts…
